I love Sundays.
It’s the one day of the week where you can go at a slower pace, take in the highs and lows of the week, and have some reflection time.
Here at Pitch & Canvas, we’ve been busy as ever—our days seem to be constantly filled, but this weekend we’re taking some time to sit back with a good cuppa and think about our days. Maybe even enjoy a bacon sandwich!
This week was also great because Duke of Edinburgh awards are back on track after being disrupted by COVID. We had four groups come through staying in our dedicated DofE field, each group taking on new challenges and learning new skills. And it’s great to see so many students participating in something like that—it makes me feel like we’re doing our part to help them grow as individuals.
We were also lucky enough to have some amazing guests camping us this week: from someone running in today’s half marathon (who inspired and blew me away me with her times),a wonderful couple who booked several stays with us and we know will become good friends, through to a father and son competing in a bike race together—all this weeks’ guests were special for different reasons… but all made me feel excited about what’s coming up next. This is why we love doing what we do – running a campsite in Cheshire.
